Did You Hear About…?

I don’t know why I have found the Paris Hilton saga interesting. Heretofore, I’ve not found anything the girl has or has not done interesting. It seems now that Paris has found God — or something like it. You can read about it here.

The Southern Baptist Convention begins next Tuesday in San Antonio. I’m not sure whether or not their presence will bless or curse the Spurs like these nuns. One thing that might creep up is the fact that the Baptist General Convention of Texas has released a list of registered sex offenders who have or ARE serving in churches. Whatever happens: God Bless the Spurs.

And for those who think that racism is dead or overplayed, have you heard about the church who, at a church function, had a skit with performers in black face. Check it out yourself.

I’m preaching at my mother-in-law’s church this week. This is the church where Rochelle and I married and my father-in-law preached for nearly 10 years. I’m supposed to talk about Jesus’ statement that “I am the light of the world.” That has a lot of implications that typically when I talk about them people don’t like. You know, stuff like loving the world. Anyway, just be praying about what I should say and how I should say it.

Say it like you did on Sunday. you’ll be fine!
